Dell Home & Home Office Section / software & peripherals has the Samsung 900NF for under $300 ($298.06 shipped to be exact)

Just use the 10% off any single item coupon code and the stackable $25 off $250 code together and you will get that total.
FREE 3-5 day ground shipping and no tax in most states makes it under $300 which is a pretty good deal for this great monitor. I got mine from Dell awhile back for under $300 shipped also.

Coupon codes should be at those websites like techb@rgains and such

I have one too, it's so nice!! highly recommended it, one thing though...this thing heats up like crazy!!! makes my room the hottest in my apart!!

but i love it, got it for 289 last year at dell during those 20%off plus stackaple $30 off hmmm nice!!

Same here Baaka got it for 289. This seems like a pretty good deal too. Always hearing people say "I'd get it if it were under 300 bucks"

Heat wise, I don't notice a problem at all. My 900NF seems pretty cool, cooler than most other 19" Aperture Grill monitors I've owned. I don't belive its discontinued according to the samsung website it seems like its still in production.

clear my mind 😛

<< does this monitor have the "removable" monitor cable? one that screwes on both ends? >>

yes it does.

I got one of these from dell for $325 shiped, 2 weeks ago. nice deal. good monitor.

I think the removable cable is important. have you ever had a cable sort out on one thats atached internaly? they are NOT easy to replace.

ack. i'm a bit tempted to return my hitachi cm721f, but it does have a 5 year warranty.

the ah heck is i need a monitor extension cable ... so it would have been nice to go w/ a monitor w/ a replacable cable and just buy a longer one

rats! decisions!

You better get'em while it's hot. It's a great monitor for the price. Isn't it ironic that in Korea where it's actually manufactured, the lowest price is around $500.

I agree - the 955 blows. The 900NF is great. I use it as my main monitor. Very sharp, little distortion.
It doesn't have the color range or saturation of my (smaller and much older) Sony, but unless you're a production artist, it's got terrific bang/buck.

it uses a Diamondtron Tube... it is an aperture grille so its completely flat. Mitsubishi makes the tubes I believe.

How would this monitor compare with the Sony Trinitron G400? If it's much better, I'll return my G400 and go with this one. --- Nevermind, the G400 is better according to CNET.. but I'd usually go with a Samsung over Sony anyday.

It's a great monitor. It compares well with the Sony, but I doubt it's worth returning the Sony to get this one.

As for the comparison with the 955DF, the 900NF is definitely a better monitor, but to tell you the truth, I use the 955DF at home and the 900NF at work, and I use both at 1280x1024, the 900NF @ 85Hz and the 955DF @75Hz, I cant really say that there's a huge difference. But, for a little more it's definitely worth getting the 900NF. I got the 955DF from Dell for $160 when they had the 20% off, the $30 off coupon, $40 mail in rebate, but I paid FL taxes. I would defintely say it's worth a lot more than the 160 I paid for it.

The 900NF is a great monitor. As for the 955DF, I'd rather get something else that can support 1280x1024 at a higher refresh rate than 75Hz, preferably. I don't know about you guys, but I can definitely tell the difference between 75Hz and 85Hz flicker-wise. 75Hz is not sufficient.

Question: How does ebates work and where is the 3% discount deducted?

Thanks!
