Samsung 830 error????

Just grabbed a Samsung 830, 256. (Love it!)

When I go to performance optimization, I run it, completes immediately, and tells me their is an error.

Anyone know what is going on?

Glad it was simple. So it's okay now?

Is it fixed then? He confirmed was he started off on the Marvell port but saw the speeds were crap and then moved onto a chipset port.

Still having issues with this. I assume the optimization is running garbage collection?
Does that mean it cannot run it?
I am running on Intel Sata.

If my Google skills are still ok, error 50 to IOCTL is not supported. Which means that the command it tried to send wasn't supported at some layer, e.g. the drive firmware, SATA controller firmware or SATA controller driver.

And the service error 1060 means the service doesn't exist. Is there an installer that wasn't run properly or at all?

Did you UAC popup? Did you try explicitly right-clicking and running as Administrator?
