I read a couple reviews online and checked it out at the store; it sounds awesome. Before I head back over there to pick it up I just thought I'd get your opinions on it. I'll be gaming and movie-watching with it and no I don't want a CRT.

Also, do DVI-cable brands matter?

Yes, VERY true. Name branded DVI cables are generic cables with an expensive name stamped on it so that the buyer feels warm and cozy. nuffin mo, nuffin less
