Samsung 710VT 17" LCD- $350 w/o Rebate

Just wanted to let you all know that, if you're in the market for a top-shelf 17" LCD, I just met a reliable local reatailer who sells them for $350 with tax and shipping included! This monitor is almost the exact same as the 710T (which sells for around $475 after shipping if you get a good price), without the DVI.

Some specs:
12ms response
600:1 Contrast Ration
0.264 Pixel Pitch
300cd/m2 Brightness
30-81 Horizontal Rate
56-75 Vert. Rate
135 Mhz Bandwidth

Also comes with a 3 year warranty on Parts, Labor and Backlight.

If you're interested, just write me an email and I can give you his info. I jumped on it and justed wanted to put it out there in case you're interested. The lowest price I can find on these retail is around $430 before shipping/ taxes.

Here's the link to the monitor on Samsung's page: http://www.samsungusa.com/cgi-...;selTab=Specifications

cheers,
Ringo

what's up with that quote, saltedeggman? When I paid right now, I asked him if he could order more specifically with Anandtech in mind, since you all have been such a big help...

I think he's implying that you should provide a little more information regarding the retailer. Like a name, for example.

You can pickup the 710T for $459.99 shipped at eBuyer.com. I agree this is a hot deal but only if the seller is listed with contact information.

I'm holding out for DVI.

oh, sorry. the reason I said to contact me was because he told me it was a special deal he would offer to people in this forum (because I mentioned that I knew of people looking for a kick-ass deal on quality LCDs). I am glad at least that you agree it's a hot deal (I guess us nooBs are nervous on first suggestion for hot deal, huh?). Anyways, here's his info:

Company Name: Total Computer Solutions
8798 S Sutton Way
Salt Lake City, UT 84121
email: totalcomputersolutions@hotmail.com (guy's name is Shaune)

I just wrote an email naming Anandtech and that this was the forum I would post on. So if you are interested, you may want to mention where you heard it...

cmv: that's a good deal, but I still am not sure if it's worth the extra (especially since my graphics card doesn't have DVI and I've heard the difference isn't that great 🙂 )

Cheers!

lollavid: Cool! Everyone is just a little gun shy about people promoting stuff cause you never know but it's all good.

DVI is definately a toss up but I really like sharp text and high resolution so I'm waiting.

Bah, was gonna say the Sony SDM-S74 at Newegg. I bought it for $439 about 3 weeks ago, a week later it dropped to $409. But, now its back up to $445!

Ah well. But I agree, many will be gunshy on going with this unknown vendor being promoted by a virtually brand new poster.

Also, 710n, virtually the same in specification, for $395 from Newegg. A vendor that is well established and known for their service both before and after the sale.

nothing I can change about your skepticism and indeed it's understandable. All I can say is I met the guy and he gets 'em from a supplier in California, and he seemed like a good guy who somehow has his hands on a great deal. Like I said, I got a killer deal and thought of you all, so a "warm-fuzzy" to all of you skeptics in the Anandtech community... 🙂
