I was thinking about getting this for a friend a week ago with exactly the same setup as marill999 mentioned! Great monitor, i got it for 410-80 like 6 months ago... i love samsung monitors!
 
Yes, seems to be a very nice monitor at a very nice price, and if I had any more money than I do, I would probably buy it! But since I also already have an Envision 15" LCD $150 AR and coupons from Staples, I'm still happy!

i'm using the envision right now as i type. it's pretty good. i like it. the samsung is downstairs and my mom uses it. i just ordered another one. don't know which one i like better. mostly the samsung.

I think Samsung is a Japanese company, all I know about them is they make high quality TVs... don't know about LCD Monitors... It should be Japan... (?)

Probably not China...

my gf has one of these, we got for 329 AR last september from gateway.com. great monitor, but does not have dvi...and with 17 in prices dropping fairly fast, if you want a new monitor i'd pass. but if you want a 15 in analog, this is a great one.. no complaints....great ; text and i play games on there (when she will let me that is 😉)
 
rebate goes to wheresmyrebate.com, but looking @ samsung's page, they list buy.com as a e-tailer, so the rebate should be good. just xerox everything and send it certified

It doesn't say Discover card purchases. Also, for some reason I remember seeing deals similar to this, sponsored by a company, but you didn't have to buy/use a product by said company to reap the benefits. 🙂
