we just bought a samsung 46" lcd model LN46A540P2F from Sam's Club.

The picture quality is great but there is a pretty severe problem with right speaker, certain tones make the plastic housing around the speakers vibrate and make a horrible buzzing sound. Pressing up hard with your fingers against the plastic while the speakers are playing will deaden the vibration and make the buzzing go away

this is pretty annoying and almost makes me want to take the TV back... I don't suppose theres any way I could fix this ? or if anyones heard of such problems...

I know I could just hookup a surround sound system and turn off the crappy tv speakers but thats kinda beside the point

Sounds like you might want to contact samsung. They are pretty good about warranty repairs I hear.

have you tried loosening and tightening the case screws? what about pulling the case around the speaker off and looking at the faulty speaker assembly and comparing it to the left speaker? maybe a tech forgot to install a sound and vibration damping part.

Just return it for another. That's far easier than taking it apart, and risking further damage.
