Samsung 42" Plasma tv under $2000

Ah, but what if they're open box or used or broken or come without a recipt or in a plain brown box?

What if they sign us up for phone cards?

What if they charge our credit card twice?

fvuck TD!

A resolution of 852 x 480 is *NOT* HD. Standard definition is something like 720x480.

If you want HD support at the intended resolution, you need:

1280x720 (for 720p, used by Fox, ABC, and ESPN)
1920x1080 (for 1080i, used by everybody else with HD)

If you do not have a display that does not natively support the specified HD resolutions, it will have to *DOWN-CONVERT* (degrade, perhaps?) the signal to something that it can display. If you are going to spend the money, wouldn't you want some proper HD support?

It's called EDTV and if you're sitting over 6 feet away you probably can't tell the difference and half the price it's a good reason to get EDTV. There's more to a good HDTV than just pixel count.

BTW.. this is a horrible Plasma. For that price you can get a Panny 7UY, one of the best EDTV plasmas around.
