Samsung 40" OLED

I just saw this picture of a 40" OLED display by Samsung. Does anyone have an estimate on when OLED will make its way into the monitor/TV market? BTW, check out the viewing angle on Photo 2.

I don't know about 1mm. Maybe 1cm eventually (this one's supposedly <3cm). If you don't know, OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) uses organic material to facilitate pixels and is supposed to eventually be cheaper (once manufacturers perfect and refine their processes), brighter, less power-consuming, and thinner than LCD.

Nobody really knows yet. OLED's are in mass production for small displays for cell phones and PDA's. Manufacturer's are still trying to perfect sustaining longer life for large, high resolution OLED's.
