A couple things to note:

1) The monitor attaches to the base not by screws, but through a ball and socket type joint. As a result, the unit lacks rigidity and the screen wobbles left and right. If you type rythmically and hard, the screen tends to oscillate left and right.

2) When your computer is off or sleeping, a blue LED at the bottom center of the monitor blinks non-stop. It keeps me awake from 25 feet away. So, I am forced to turn the monitor off every night.

3) This monitor was priced at $210.00 on Dell one month ago, but also happend to be on sale for $140.00 at that time (as a package deal with Vostro).

4) All things considered, it is a fantastic monitor. (I got a second one at the $140.00 price.)

Nice notes. Great price, but I honestly want the hdmi to hook it up to a ps3. I'll pass knowing I'll pay atleast 100 more for that little feature in the future. Maybe I'll just get that IPS earlier lol

they raised the price $20 and i think initially shipping was free.

i think its tax in every state that has tax with dell, so if you live in say oregon then thats maybe the only place youg et out of tax.

sucks really extra hard for californians. $16 recycling fee PER Monitor.

I bought two of these when they were $170 with free shipping. And I put them in my truck/cubicle for work. These have held up great for the last 4 months, riding in the back of my truck, off-road and tons of dust. I will admit, you can see the banding from time to time, but only if you are looking for it.

I don't think this a a great deal (or even a good one), but the monitors won't disappoint. I just bought two ASUS 26" from buy.com for $258 FS a few weeks ago for my work desk and have been impressed by those (they have HDMI).
