I am using this monitor to type this, and it is amazing. I got it from Dell home for $169 shipped last month. well worth it..but at this price, its a no-brainer.

whats a TN panel?

Wiki article

Basically a TN panel is lower cost when compared to other types of LCD panels used. For most people, you would not care...but for graphic artists, and those who care about the exact replication of color...they prefer monitors which use an IPS panel instead.

99% of consumers will be happy with this monitor IMHO. I have had it for a month and I love it.

Same here. I had to tweak some setting slightly, but overall, I'm very impressed.

agreed.. I had to turn off the auto-dim feature, because of the games I was playing being very dark..but other then the initial setup, it has been top notch.

i just got in on the deal for one, but im now wondering how does dell ship. (UPS,FED EX, USPS, DHL) As im possibly going away for a couple days in a little over a week and thought i would be safe as i saw the shipping said it was 3 to 5 days, but they fail to tell you there is possessing time in there also. So now i have 2 more days tacked on to the 5 days to make it 7 days from now. It says estimated delivery 6-2-09. I thought if i ordered on the 5-22-09 that 5 days meant i would get it by the 27th, but i guess not. Does anyone know if dell is quick on their shipping? All of their shipments come from Texas correct? Please let me know, Possibly it can pout my mind to rest. BTW, they do charge tax.

Can't answer your question on shipping, but in my state tax is added. It was a little over $10 for me in NC.

I'm going to think about ordering this deal however I better not wait long since all the people on SD will gobble this deal up like candy.

Dell Biz: Samsung 2333SW 23in 1080p LCD Monitor $153 shipped, Expiring
Dell Small Business has the Samsung 2333SW 23in 1080p Black Widescreen LCD Monitor for only $280 - $100 off in cart - extra 15% off via coupon code: P1$6CFNN71F29L (exp 5/23) = $153 w/ free shipping.

click here and DON'T SAY ONE THING ABOUT TN PANELS....it is $153.

Or you can get a 22" eIPS panel Dell 2209WA (not 1080) for $194.65.

$229 + 15% off coupon = $194.65

I'm having a problem applying the code to my order for this monitor. I'm getting the instant $100 off, but when I put in the coupon code, I get this:
"The following coupons have been entered but require additional information or do not meet eligibility requirements. Click "View Details" link(s) for more information."
... and then the details contain nothing that would make me ineligible. >.>

Any idea why this would be happening? I mean, I'd probably still get it........ but the 15% off would be nice. 😛

Either the coupon expired, it says it expires Saturday the 23rd. Or it has reached the maximum limit of redemptions. Dell limits the number of uses a coupon has to like 500-1000 or whatever.

Either way the coupon is no longer working. I think it reached the max use limit.

There was another coupon for 10% off that expired May 28th, but it doesn't work either. It was VBGH?K188CBWMC

Sadface. Yeah, I'd tried the other one also, thinking that the first one expired... but no luck.

Oh well, it happens. Thanks! 😀

Thread is alive... the coupon VBGH?K188CBWMC now works for 10% off making the total $162 + tax/shipping. Not as good as the 15% off but still good as poster above said.

Apparently dead again. Monitor doesn't even come up anymore. Dell can't seem to make up their mind. :disgust:

Use Shop.Discover.com for an additional 5% cash back through your Discover Card. Brings it down to $153 again.

How would this monitor be for gaming?
