Samsung 23.6" LCD 169.99 Free S/H *DEAD*

How is this panel different from the bw series? I've got a 2433bw and am curious how it compares. (this is aside from price, size, and resolution obviously)

How much of an upgrade would this be from a 22" Acer? Ultimately, I could get this for $30 net after selling my current 22" to an interested friend. Worth it?

Depending on your Acer model I would say yes. The picture and text quality on the Samsung is surprisingly good for a TN.

Would this be OK for gaming? And knowing nothing about LCD monitors, can it run at other resolutions besides 1920 x 1080? That is, could it run at 1680 x 1050? I ask because it's native resolution of 1920 x 1080 requires some HorsePower to run games at that resolution.

TYIA,

PS - Anyone have any idea about Dell's return policy if unhappy, or dead pixels?

It'll be just fine for gaming, and there should be no problem running it at 1680x1050 but I'd expect it to look like ass.

It was a 48 hour sale from Friday to Sunday.

If you had your eyes on any of these monitors give it a month or so. The Samsung at least seems to go on sale once a month.

I ordered mine tuesday night, don't why the deal didn't stop Sunday night.

Estimated delivery date: Tomorrow, Thursday 4-30th. F yea!!

How do you get the stand off? It looks like it pops in but we tried pulling real hard and it still didn't come out

Not sure yet. Mine should be there when I get home later. In researching this monitor, all I seemed to find was people complaining how hard it was to install the stand.

I got it off.

The stand comes installed on the monitor, the base just need one little, and I mean little screw, screwed to the stand. I wanted to take the stand off and use the VESA mounting on back. It pops out, but it really took some strength, almost felt like we were going to break the monitor.
