Hi all

I'm looking to buy this monitor, but only if the rumors are true and it is in fact an S-PVA panel.

I find it odd that it is, because of the cheap price, but I see no indicator that it is not.

The samsung website does not mention dithering, which makes me think at bare minimum it is an 8-bit panel.

Can anyone confirm, possibly with a link?

Not sure about the dithering but I purchased this LCD 2 weeks ago and couldn't be happier. It looks just and good if not better than the 226BW (panel lottery) which is 100 bucks more. Look at some reviews over on new egg

It's the best 250.00 I've spent in a while.

The amazon review claims it is s-pva, but I can't be sure really, because the samsung page does not say anything..

But it doesn't mention dithering..

TN Panel and I own it...

I don't think being close minded about TN/PVA/MVA and S-IPS is a smart way to go about it. Look at the display for yourself and determine if it looks good.

All these high gamut, and extra professional features are only noticable when you compare two screens right next to each other... Not to mention the hefty price increase...

Anyway, I own the 216bw AFTER checking it out in the store. I found it very acceptable and bought it. Very happy with my purchase.
