YMMV. I was looking at this camera already since it was one of the few 2MP cameras with optical zoom that could be found for under $250. Wal-Mart currently has it on their site (although I haven't seen it in any of their stores here) for $229. There is also a $50 mail in rebate for this camera. Wal-Mart either doesn't know this or isn't advertising the fact. So through Wal-Mart it could be had for $180 after rebate.
However, if you're in one of the MANY cities where K-mart is closing down then odds are decent that they have this one in stock and are trying to get everything out the door. This was listed as being regular price $329 and with things now at 40% off storewide the price comes down to $198. Take $50 off that with the rebate and it's $148. The only rub is you can't return it if you don't like it.
I've only found a few reviews and don't have links to those right now. None are really glowing (some good from avg. joe users like myself, some bad from real photo bugs who are used to more high-end quipment.) But I've taken a few shots with it and they seem good quality to me. And for the price I can't complain. I don't take enough photos to justify spending $250+ on a digital camera (not when we have an amazing film camera) so this fits the bill nicely. It's definitely better than my previous Kodak 1.3MP and I like the ability to frame shots better without losing quality with the optical zoom. One of the main reasons I got it was it uses CompactFlash so I won't have to change memory formats.
