Samsung 19" wide LCD $180 AR compusa. Make your own LCD TV :)

If you click on the link above, it will say out of stock. But if you do "check store availability", it will tell you local stores have them in stock.
Anaheim store was the closest to me, and they had 6 black ones in stock. You'll have to ask for one though since the store didn't know they had them until I asked for stock check at the store.
I recently bought a Gateway PFD1975W at a Best Buy, and used it for 3 days. It's selling at the same price as 940BW minus the rebates. Soon I'll have to decide which one to return.
The only advantege PFD1975W has over 940BW is that it's got higher contrast ratio, 700 vs 500, but Samsung has 3 year warranty while Gateway only has 1 year. Also, Samsung includes a DVI-D cable, but Gateway doesn't.
I guess it's no brainer when it comes down to the price since there's $90 rebate on 940BW.😉

I've seen some LCD TV's that look like crap viewing, of all things, TV. Especially SD channels. Considering this isn't even geared towards displaying, scaling TV signals, etc., how is the picture?

the 500:1 contrast ratio would make me nervous if it was for an lcdtv...my monitor uses a 750 contrast ratio and its still not very good in my opinion

What kind of monitor do you have (make & model)?

Picked up three monitors. SWEET. Dual Widescreen setup and then one as a gift.
Limit one rebate per Samsung product model purchased per receipt, customer, person, family, household or address.
Did you get separate receipts and do you have three addresses for the rebate checks to come to?
I'd like to get three but thats 6 rebates at three addresses to deal with.

With Dells that problem often has alot to do with backlight bleeding, I know it does on mine.
