samsung 19" monior 955df $227 @buy.com, possibly $197 AR & PM -- warm? Help make it hotter!

no rebates etc involved. the shipping would probably kill this, unless there are coupons out there (i haven't looked) -- comes out to almost $60 for me here in MO. still I was thinking more in the lines of possibly using this as part of a nice PM deal with some other place ... so, run with it someone! the most recent best deal on this monitor last month was $193 I recall at bestbuy (involving rebates, PMing, and possibly even getting a best buy employee to take a 10% customer weekend coupon that actually wasn't applicable to monitors).

the best deals I can come up with using this is:

1) buy at dell ($284 with free shipping, perhpas no tax), get an amex PM to bring it down to $227 final cost.

2) buy at bestbuy, they have it for $299, again get the PM, and then get the $30 rebate they have -- cost $227 after PM - $30 rebate = $197 + tax on $300

Come on, someone, show me how it's done! 🙂

Amen. And what a sweet monitor it is. And only $196 shipped. My oh my. Less than I paid for my 17" Hitachi CM615 a year ago (which my daughter inherited). 😉

also the majority of us have purchased a monitor for a great deal the past year. the only way i would buy another monitor is if it was a steal. thanks anyway.

Damn, i missed out....anyone know anymore good deals on this monitor, preferable one where i wouldn't have to pay tax & shipping (I live in WA)

some of us were waiting on the income tax refund to buy it .... too bad I just didn't buy it and let the CC roll over to next month. By that time I would have had my tax $$$ back 🙁

I just bought a 19" from best buy, $199 with 50MIR, $149 net.... Hooked it up to the Dell 4400, and it works super slick. Would definately recommend this. It is part of their flyer this week, so you still have time to grab it.

Forgive me, I'm just trying to get at if this is a hot deal or just a brag about an expired deal.

I dont think he is talking about the 955df, most likely the Envision 19" or something
similiar. Im sure if Samsung 955df's could be had for $149 at Best Buy it would be the hot
topic on these boards and the thread would stay on the first page for days.
 
The $30 rebate posted above can apparently be used if the monitor is purchased at the Gateway Country store, so I'm gonna call them and see if they have any available. 🙂

Hmmm, the rebate coupon doesn't mention anything about it being Gateway-specific.

Picked this up at Best Buy last night. 299.99 Blue BVG to amazon's $226.94 - $30 rebate (coupon printed at best buy register)
Total: $196.94

One annoyance is that when placed next to my other Samsung 19" (i.e. for a dual-head config) , the new monitor has some interference that rolls up the screen (what's the proper term for that?) when both are set to the same resolution. If I turn the old monitor off, the interference stops. Is that common, or specific to this monitor?
