The 21" details

Thanks to the Hot Deals forum, I can get the 21" monitor for $300 CDN + $50 Shipping. I paid $350 for this 19" 950P monitor about 5 months ago. I am wondering if its a worthwhile upgrade to drop yet another $350 on a new monitor. I have a Geforce 3 Ti200 if it matters...

The main thing that worries me is how bad are those wires going across the screen? I surf AT a lot, and I hear they are especially visible on light backgrounds, and I don't want to be bothered by stupid little wires...please be absolutely honest and don't just praise it because you spent a lot of money on it so you don't want to admit your wrong.

Oh it isn't. But I've been sort of looking for a new monitor in my passtime because our old computer has a 10 year old 14" monitor. I think the current 19" would be a slight improvement... :)

I got the refurbished Sony 500ps that was also mentioned in the "hot deals" forum about 2 weeks ago. It was in great condition, so even though it was refurbished, it looked like new. So, refurbished monitors can be great, or a rip off, depending on where you buy.

As for the lines, the only time I see them is when I read someone talk about them like you just did, and then that reminds me they are there. Unless you really go out of your way to look for them , they won't bother you. They ARE easier to see against a light backround such as the white backround I see now as I'm posting this, but they're very "faint".

As I said before , they don't bother me, because I don't notice them unless I look directly for them.

I have one of those Dell 21", there nice to say the least, but I use it on my server now since I need crisp text for my main work machine which uses a Sony G400. I'd say go for it, the Dell I got was in perfect shape & the Geomertry (sp?) was surprisingly perfect. You won't regret it, especially for that price.
