I noticed it in the Fry's Ad for Houston. I assume it could be a pricing error because it seems to be the price for the 15in model instead. Its 329-30IR =299 instore price - 30 MIR - 20 MIR. I also saw this rebate form Rebate which could significantly drop the price. Heck even if you don't get the price, you could always PM at Best Buy. 300 Bux for a 17in Samsung Brand LCD is hot to me.

Hmmm bestbuy does not have this model. Not sure if they are going to pm if they don't have the same item. However Compusa has the same model for 399 AR (that $100 rebate edtsui posted) So maybe we can get a pm from compusa
 
I know BB had this model as this is where I got my 171v. Maybe they stopped carrying it?

In any case, a very good monitor, especially at this price.

I almost pooped my pants. That's gotta be a typo no? That's an awesome monitor for even $399, but $299? and another $50 back after rebates? I remember paying $399 for a 15" Dell LCD not too long ago. :disgust:
...why can't they have a Fry's on the east coast? They seem to have some of the best deals.

wait, it might not be a typo. It could be a grand opening sale for the Houston Fry's store. I came across something about grand opening sale for the Houston Fry's store either on this forum or Mr. Fat's site.

That's the Irving TX grand opening. Probably not for Houston store

best buy did stop carrying it, they now carry the 172

 
After driving 30 minutes to my local Houston Fry's, I am (see nick). As already posted, price is for the 15''. I guess the lesson learned is that you have to call Fry's about their prices before you pay them a visit. Bad business; I'll never shop there again😉
