i bought two of these a few months ago for my kids when they were $120 before rebate. so theey were actually 200 (80 for the first and 120 for the second). to answer the question weather they will honor the rebate when purchased through dell. well it took a while but i got my reabate no problem.

for my question does anyone know if this is a seperate rebate from the earlier one a few months ago. both then and now there is a limit of one rebate. i need another monitor for my wife now and i'm putting together a budget pc for her.

awesome price for a sweet monitor.

i got my 700NF about 1.5 years ago for $280 from egghead.com when they were still in business. to this day, it's been goin strong. i don't know about my 75gxp though, after hearing so many things about it. so far, nothing wrong... knock on wood.

I sent the rebate on around 10/20, wheresmyrebate got a approved status. But the estimated check mail date is 1/14/02! So don't expected the rebate to come fast.
BTW, great price for a good monitor. Use myself and sell one out.

oops, sorry for the previous empty post. but i bought this monitor a few months ago and it is definitely one of the best bangs for the buck. it was actually smaller and lighter than my old off-brand 17". the pictures and pretty clear, there are slight geometric problems near the edges but hardly noticeable. i remember when i bought it there was a controversy about where it was manufactured vs its quality so i just wanted to let you guys know that mine was made in mexico and its been ok for over a half year, knock on wood.

I ordered the 19". Got the 10% and free shipping. I have a few 40 off 200 codes that I got from another thread. I never saw where to put in the code so it went through without it. I immediatly called Dell to tell them and they couldn't find my order. Now this morning I have an email confirmation that it went through. The Dell CSR made a note that said that I had called about the coupon and when I get my order number they will be able to apply it. Since I have a few of these coupons does it matter which one I use. And will they screw up the Samsung $40 coupon. I don't see why it would since it's from samsung. I'll try to post the link to the coupons .

Oh yeah, you can't do that can you ( post codes). Well anyway I don't see why they would affect the samsung rebate. Anybody else see the thread with the coupon codes. I guess I'll find out if I can use them when I call Dell later.

It's a nice monitor, bought one from Dell a while back for my wife.

The rebate took forever though and did not appear after the designated
mailing date as specified on the wheresmyrebate.com website. Bought it
in (I think) July and rebate was not set to be mailed until October 12th!
I called them last week since the rebate had not appeared yet and they
said that it had been "returned"...whatever that means...and they would
send it again. Got it yesterday...

I can't really complain, because I screwed up the rebate form that I sent
in and forgot to check the correct box for which rebate I was applying for
and some kind soul put me in for the $80 rebate instead of the $40 one,
so the monitor ended up costing me around $44 in the end...

I have no idea. I wondered the same thing. It told me ship on or before Dec 6th, and I get up today to find it on my front porch. I live in PA and Dell is in NJ, so the ship time isn't very long, but that was a quick turnaround.

Anyway, I need to know...for the rebate, will the packing slip count as a form of the sales receipt? That's all I got, since it was just a Samsung box with the monitor.... will that work? It has the item name, description, UPC etc... or do I need to call Dell and get an actual "receipt"?

I don't think the packing slip will work. Dell always sends a "receipt" of sorts in the mail after they ship the product. You should receive it to your billing address within a week. That's the one you should send in. Have others have had success with the packing slip as a receipt?????
