I have a choice. $500 for a low end 15 inch LCD or the same for a Samsung 900NF. Now, i have a 19 inch (NEC AccuSync 90) and what will happen is i will run dual monitor. Now the real question is what will have better text, a Samsung 900NF or a 15 inch LCD. My NEC is fine for gaming and movies, but it's giving me headaches after programming on it for a long time (a few hours). Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

$500 for a low-end 15"? are you crazy?

$500 can get a high-end 15".
low-end 15" is $300 now.

$500 can get a mid-end 17".

Sorry, forgot to mention it's $500 CDN :D for $500 CDN, i can get a 15inch LCD, but for the same $500, i can get a Samsung 900NF. Which would let me read text better? and less eye strain?

Get a Samsung 900NF
LCD arent so good right now
Hold off on LCD's. Wait till they improve upon them, and as for the 900NF its amazing. I got the monitor and can say its one best i have ever own. Like it better then my Sony's, and ViewSonics.

EDIT: Yeah, it helps when you read the post.

For programming, LCD can't be beat.

sorry i don't know it's in CDN.

i'd say get a high-end 17-18" LCD.
LCD is better on text and for long time working, especially programming.
You already have a fine 19" CRT, don't get another CRT.
