SAM's Or COSTCO?

We all got sick last year with a horrible virus and were throwing up constantly for hours. After a day and half of not eating, my then 2 1/2 year old daughter still pale and weak was finally feeling better and wanted a hot dog from Sam's. I didn't care, I was just releaved and ecstatic that she was finally hungry.

It was about 9 minutes before Sam's closed, but I was undaunted and loaded her into the car and got there incredibly 1 minute before they closed. I carried her up to the door but the doors were closed. I banged on the doors and the greeter came over and I asked if we could run in really quick for a hot dog for my daughter. He very bruskly replied no that they were closed. I insisted we'd be quick and it was still a minute till closing. Everything is closed he replied.....the food court is closed.....everything is closed. I could see people inside finishing up checking out. Again, I'm a guy with a toddler in his arms looking very desparate.

So, ya, you know what, Sam's Club saved themselves a few man-minutes of labor cost by shutting down a few minutes early but they lost a customer for life. And, yes, Costco does leave their food court open until the line finishes even if its a couple minutes past closing.

lifetime warranty minus computers which is 6 months.

we bought a philips 37" LCD tv, started acting up, returned it, got another tv (LCD of course) with the credit we got back, no problems at all.

costco FTW.

I have a Sams membership, but that's largely a move I did out of protest when Costco decided they weren't going to offer the universal convenience of accepting credit cards. That pissed off so many people in my area. But then 6 months later, Sams did the same damn thing. So now I just don't shop at either. If I have to pay money to shop there, I certainly expect to be able to use a credit card to make a purchase. you know, because so many people actually spend $1000's there per visit and don't have that kind of cash available. Besides, I don't need the 30# box of cheerios anyway. Sams and Costco can both suck it.

Costco happily accepts AMEX, and that is all the reason I need to pick them over Sams.
