Sam's Club or Costco

i like them both. they carry differnt items.

i usually hti Sams club since there is no costco near me.

Only had a Sam's nearby until I moved a couple years ago. I kept my Sam's membership since my Dad's business is picking up the membership fee. I've thought about checking out Costco, but I've never got around to it.

My only complaint about Sam's is that when the local one remodeled, they did away with the BBQ, polish sausage, and asian chicken salad at the cafe. I wish they'd bring those back along with the churros that they sell out west.

No Costco here, only Sams. that being said, we go there maybe 10 times a year. My membership costs get taken out of my paycheck, I think 1.26 every two weeks, so i dont even notice the membership costs. not like i gotta drop $50 or whatever once a year, if I did, I probably wouldnt be a member.

We've had both, had Sam's club for 2 years then Costco now for 2 years. Like Costco better and won't be going back.

Biggest factors for us were food quality / variety.

Uh, Deer Park = spring water. Aquafina = purified tapwater, AKA purified asswater. Your argument is made of fail.
Because overpriced filtered bottled deer piss is so much better than overpriced filtered bottled tap water?

Sams is owned by Walmart, they have enough money.

Yeah, you can usually find the same stuff at both stores, only in smaller containers.

Although Sam's does carry unusual items here and there.

Sam's Club > Costco for me.
1. It's closer to me.
2. The line for gas is shorter.
3. Sam's Club sells Aquafina. Costco has some nasty ass Deer Park or some other asswater.
4. Fruits(bananas and strawberries in particular) are consistently cheaper at Sam's.
5. I can find more office/shop supplies at Sam's.

Having said that I like shopping at Costco, too. I like their frozen food selection and the kitty litter Costco sells clumps better. I'd say it's worth having both memberships. Seems kinda silly that I spend $90/yr to shop at those 2 stores now...

Um---those are both famous brands. They probably both come from a tap in some garage anyway.

Just bought a Costco membership as few days ago to get that sweet Samsung 2333HD 23" LCD TV for $249 (and to take advantage of their other specials, cheap gas, etc). The only thing that PISSES ME THE FUCK OFF is that I bought a shitload of stuff there yesterday, and was quite hungry and thirsty. I get up to their little food court to get a drink and a couple slices of pizza and the lady says that take cash only. WTF kinda shit is that?!

I used to have a Sams Membership and they never did shit like that.

Protip: Buy your food court food when you check out w/ your carts of bulk items and pay w/ your AMEX Truesaving card. WIN! There's a separate window to pickup food for smart people who pay for food w/ their bulk items. Just show 'em the recipe.

You just tell the cashier what you want when you check out with your regular stuff? Didn't know that. Wouldn't have made sense for me during my visit anyway because I didn't even know what they had at the food court until I checked out and went up to the window.

Regardless, it doesn't make sense. Why wouldn't they take debit cards at the food counter? If they can take debit cards at the regular checkout, and if they can ring up your food at the regular checkout, it doesn't make much sense at all.

But whatever...

Costco sells Poland Spring here. Poland Spring is spring water. Deer Park is also spring water. Both are sold by Nestle. Aquafina is filtered tap water, and it is sold by Pepsi.

None of the three brands is "asswater."

Yup, just tell the cashier what you want during regular check out and they'll ring it up. Not a lot of people know this so there's always a long line at the food court. You can see what kinda food the food court sells simply by looking at the giant colorful menu, 'cause it's all on there. You can't miss it.

As I get older, I find myself getting crankier... just like my old man:laugh:

Since I pay with the debit card as well, I just do 5$ over the purchase and get me some pizza with that fancy new fiver!
