Sam's Club or Costco

Sam's club is cheaper, the quality is debatable. I personally don't see a difference there, but I do see a difference price, that's not debatable. Sams Club also has a much better food court. I go to Costco I get a Hot Dog, I go to Sams club I get a CHILI CHEESE DOG

Costco might have a bigger selection (again I don't know) but Sam's Club has everything I want and I definitely save money shopping there. But anyone who prefers to spend more money, by all means keep shopping at Costco.

I've been to both here in Kansas City. Sam's has better prices on pretty much everything and the membership is cheaper. Costco is nice and empty, so shopping is very easy.

So, it you are willing to pay a premium to shop in a less than moderately busy store, go Costco. If you want to save money and are willing to shop is a pretty busy store, go with Sam's Club.

That's my impression anyway.

complete the opposite here.

Sams = no lines
costco = 5-10 customers deep with all registers open

then again, sam's is literally 25 feet from walmart.
i guess people have the mentality of why pay a membership fee when i can walk 25feet

i prefer walmart to either

Walmart is the devil.

I'd rather buy nothing than buy something there. I guess I've lost the will to consume ... in my middle age.

Costco's package sizes are way too big for me... I really don't need a gallon of peanut butter or 32 rolls of TP at once.

I don't think that I bought enough stuff to make up the $50 subscription fee while I was a member 🙁

I live alone but find Costco to work really well. I just picked up a full package of tp and paper towels. Granted, it IS hard to find space for it sometimes but the savings are pretty impressive (and it is not like they expire). I also find that their membership pays for itself just with milk (a single gallon is ~$4 at the grocery store, two gallons at Costco are $4.50).

I am a member at Costco, Sam's and BJ's...all have different things. I joined Sam's only because Costco stopped taking my insurance on lenses. They had a free deal for one year at that time. BJ's is better for premium gas and their coke, beer and salsa are cheaper. They also have some toiletries that Costco doesn't. Sam's has a lot of variety that the other two don't have.

thread makes me think about Step Brother where after Will Ferrell had to wipe his ass with the bathroom rug - it cut to him walking out of Costco with nothing but a huge ass package of TP lol.

Never been to a Costco all we have here in Oklahoma is Sam's.... But I hear that Costco and Frys are both really nice places.

And to help with the topic, I do like Sam's and I make it over there about every 2 weeks when I need to buy bulk food (bachelor chow) that can be easily microwaved.

Sam's Club > Costco for me.
1. It's closer to me.
2. The line for gas is shorter.
3. Sam's Club sells Aquafina. Costco has some nasty ass Deer Park or some other asswater.
4. Fruits(bananas and strawberries in particular) are consistently cheaper at Sam's.
5. I can find more office/shop supplies at Sam's.

Having said that I like shopping at Costco, too. I like their frozen food selection and the kitty litter Costco sells clumps better. I'd say it's worth having both memberships. Seems kinda silly that I spend $90/yr to shop at those 2 stores now...

They have the same stuff at the same prices, but Sam's return policy>Costco's

Costco no longer has the no questions asked lifetime return policy, but Sam's does. Though you can only return computers 6 months out, and TVs 2 years out.

so basically Costco is great for people that aren't douchebags.

No, just people who don't like shit crapping out on them for no reason. Fucking twat.

Dear dumbass, the reason Costco changed their policy has nothing to do with people wanting to return shit crapping out for no reason, but every reason to do with douchebag asshats who return merchandise 3 years after purchase for full refund.

Uh, Deer Park = spring water. Aquafina = purified tapwater, AKA purified asswater. Your argument is made of fail.

That and costco still has a pretty liberal return policy. its onyl on thibng like electronics they have a 90 day refund and 1 to 2 year repair (depending on the item).

Still way better then wal-mart, target, and most other retailers.

I wish Costco sold motherboards so I wouldn't have to deal with ASUS.

48 hours to issue a fucking RMA#, 24 hours to approve you for cross-shipping, and then an additional 48 hours to process shipping out your replacement. If I get a fucking refurb after all this I'm sending the BBB after their ass. I've had nothing but problems with this board from day 1...

Wait, what were you talking about?

we have the executive membership which costs $100/year, but we get 2% cash back for instore merchandise and 3% back on costco gas at the end of the year. we almost always get more than $100 back.
