I'm going out this thursday to take the A+ exams on the 2001 objectives. I'm pretty sure I could do alright but I'd love to take an online sample test or something. If anyone knows of anything like this please let me know!
Thanks!

Hey Soybomb, I just took the A+ Core (2001 ojectives) yesterday and I got a 868. It was pretty easy I have to say. The graphics were not the best quaulity I have to say. I have some trouble distinguishing some stuff. The graphics are black and white (more like grayscale). A lot of my questions was based on the troubleshooting and diagnosing and basic knowledge (ie. what does ECC in memory do?). Not too many on the IRQ's and DMA, maybe 3 or four.
I have studied using online resources and one book. Brain Dumps BrainBuzz Another Site

I don't forsee a problem since I've been doing this for years, it just makes me nervous with that much test $ on the line ;) A friend loaned me the A+ book put out my thompson learning called "Enhanced A+ Guide to managing and Maintaining your PC" by Jean Andrews. I'm looking over some stuff like irq's now. I might try to cram a couple I/O's into my head too :) So the 2001 objectives are not adaptive right? They're still given on a computer though correct?
thanks for the links and help all! :)

Oh, don't even worry about. The test is super easy, even I passed it. I'm pretty stupid too, have about a million dumb questions asked on this board. However, I would suggest not using brain dumps ;). Had a bunch of kids failed, relying on those, but I guess when we took it was just about 2 months after they had the 2001 objectives. I would recommend using ExamEssentails, I had questions very silmilar if not word for word on my test. The OS test though, didn't use it for the CORE. Good Luck!

Yeah I heard that, but I've off school this week and want to get it before I go back so I can apply for a job with it.

Essentially an adaptive exam only presents you with the number of questions you need to pass, after you pass you're done :)

Adaptive means the questions get harder as you go on. So like if you get a question wrong about video cards, it will ask you more questions about video cards, until you get it right. The test could end at any time so you don't know how many questions you will have to answer. This method of test deters people from using brain dumps.
