hpkeeper, sounds like you need to get out more. Try a nice long walk in the park or something. :D

You have a point actually, I agree... There's alot of repeated threads. But there's not much that can be done about that.

So instead of whining about it, make a different one. I will be awaiting your contribution.... ;)

we should make new forums... Cars, sports, politics, or music.. break this one down a little bit, basically that's what it's all about in here.

BTW: Girlfriday, this is my contribution, it's different.... not many people have posted a thread of this type... it's out of the ordinary, something new.

Complaining about the fact that new threads tend to be the same topic as old ones isn't new. Just about every thread has a complaint that if the poster had done a search they'd have found the same topic discussed before.

There are often times when people miss threads and so they don't know that it's been talked about already, so it's not their fault that they post something that's the same.

Sometimes people just need to talk about something a second time (or third or fourth...). Maybe all the points weren't discussed the previous time, maybe new information is available. Maybe people in the other discussion weren't taking it in the direction that the new poster wanted to see it go.
