I have a user who is using OSX 10.5 and he says that he doesn't see new files that other users (almost all Windows) have put there. I'm guessing there's some caching going on, but I'm not sure where to look. Any advice?

I have a similar problem with windows vista. If I try to copy files over a few gigs in size it will crash. Then until I reboot the vista machine I can not see any files in those folders. This does not happen with linux, only with OSX.
