Black Lager is probably my favorite Sam Adams beer. The Cranberry Lambic is nasty. All the rest are still better than Bud/Miller/Coors.

Of course there are many other beers that I like better. Stone beers >*

Chime in for a good American beer.

Octoberfest FTW

I like the Octoberfest.

The Octoberfest is good... I'm also a fan of their cherry wheat, winter/spring, and cream stout varietries 🙂

Edited for what I was gonna say.

Sam Adams is the best of the popular domestic beers. It doesn't have anything on Three Floyd's or the other micro-brews scattered throughout the country.

Agreed. I don't love SA - there are literally hundreds of better American beers - but it's 1000% better than Bud/Miller/other watery American crap.

not a huge fan. but then again, we're spoiled with the great octoberfest beer that is karl strauss. in fact, karl strauss's red trolley could probably hold its own pretty well against a lot of lesser known but great tasting microbrews.

I like Sam Adams Octoberfest and the winter brew is delicious. I have taken a liking to Yuenglings black and Tan lately though.

I like some of the Sam Adams brews (the various ones mentioned, Boston Lager, Oktoberfest..) and even the light isn't that bad.

Lately I have been drinking Yuengling though. It is good for the money.

I'm sitting here drinking a Sam Adams for the first time. Pretty good. Nothing great. Prior to the Sam, I drank a Yuengling Black and Tan. Now that was good! I do NOT like the regular Yuengling, though. Nasty.

It's a little too hoppy for my taste, but it's not a bad brew. It's an okay standby beer if nothing else good is on draft.

Fat Tire, though, is an awesome beer!

Is another part of the country getting a different type of reg Yuengling or something? How the fvck can a beer drinker call it nasty. Not good, I could see, but nasty? Are insane?

The only Sam Adams I like are Winter Lager and Double Bock. I think the best pint I've ever had was double bock at the sam adams brewery.

I had the Yuengling "Traditional Lager." I just didn't like it all that well. I don't plan to buy any more. I seem to like darker beers more. Poor me, though. I was raised on Bud Light. I need to try some Guiness.
