Salary... how much is enough?

How much income is enough in canada to be able to afford a nice, 3 bedroom home, eating out at nice restaurants etc; a few times a week, a nice-ish car, being able to take nice vacations each year out of the country, and still saving a little bit for the future?
I know this is a broad question and alot of these things are really subjective, but really what I'm asking is what yearly income is considered upper middle class?

To answer the question in a subject - there's no such thing as too much money.
Everyone knows this, even thelflyingpig.

If you want to live in Moosejaw, I would say $50k would do it. On the other hand if you want to live in Vancouver, you better be looking at $150k.

3bdrm house with a 500sqft family room and a 1000sqft back yard? Eat out at nice restaurants??? $100 a plate is semi-nice. Nice-ish cars start at $100k.

This is so funny. You're asking the most broad question. You can never make too much money.

If you buy a wife that knows how to cook, dance and is a freak in bed, you would save a lot of money on good eating and entertainment.

Sounds about right.

100 bucks a plate is boneheaded ridiculous.

methinks your pelt/dollar fx rate is outdated

My own target is 250k/yr. It's the least I need to live comfortably.
Maybe it'll become easier when I marry the doctor I'm dating. 😉

$100 plate isn't that unheard of, if the place is nice. I wouldn't go higher though... my issue with the post you quoted is ->
Nice-ish cars start at $100k.
WTF nice-ish cars are you talking about... tons of nice cars well under 100k...

$100 bucks a plate is high, but $100 bucks a person is not that unreasonable if you get drinks.
