My fave is simply balsamic vinegar (white or dark, doesn't matter). I love the taste of raw veggies/fruits, so I can go with none as well.

Hendrickson’s Salad Dressing.

For many years I was on a quest to find the best, most flavorful, fat free, salad dressing. I must have went through 20 or 30 different brands and types. I finally found the one that was the best, way above the rest.

Fat Free
All of Hendrickson’s dressings have always been fat free, since the original was introduced in the St. Louis market in 1968. The current FDA guidelines considers a product fat free if it contains less than .1 grams of fat per serving. Hendrickson’s far exceeds these FDA guidelines, containing only .05 grams of fat per serving.

Ingredients
Hendrickson’s Original Sweet Vinegar and Olive Oil dressing and seasoning contains all natural ingredients. As stated on our label, this product only contains vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic, and a special blend of spices. Compare this to other salad dressings and see the difference for yourself. Most products today contain an abundance of chemical preservatives, as well as water, fillers, and thickeners.

Product Life
Hendrickson’s dressing and seasoning has a product life of 12 months, regardless of whether it is opened or unopened. The product expiration date is stamped clearly on the left panel on our bottle label and is 12 months to the day from when it was manufactured. This date can be safely extended several months by refrigerating our product immediately after purchase, even the unopened bottles. Note that opened bottles of Hendrickson’s must always be refrigerated.

Kosher
For our Jewish customers — Vaad Hoeir of St. Louis has certified that our product is kosher and pareve. (Pareve means that Hendrickson’s dressing and seasoning is for year round use, excluding Passover.)

Wheat & Gluten FREE
There are no Wheat by-products, and we use apple cider vinegar instead of white grain vinegar.

I always liked blue cheese, or French dressing. Nowadays I just put salt, vinegar and black pepper.

Ranch/Caesar or bleu cheese for me. My wife loves Thousand Island. That shit belongs on a burger.

I like Catalina, Thousand Island, Creamy Cucumber..
And for some types of salad I'll rock a vinaigrette.
Caesar for caesar salad obviously...

Hendrickson’s Salad Dressing.

But...but..the fat is half the point of throwing stuff on top of the salad!

I make this one in a pinch:

White balsamic
Dijon
Honey
Olive oil
Chives
S&P

Delicious, not bad for you, and very quick and easy to make.

Been making my own for a while now. Ingredients are olive oil, red wine vinegar, fresh minced garlic, and a bit of dijion mustard. It is fantastic and you don't need much.

Same here. I do something very similar. I like wilted spinach salads and usually cook up a few pieces of bacon and then mix in brown mustard, red wine vinegar and a pinch of sugar. Stir them in with the bacon grease left in the pan and then toss in the spinach for a few seconds. Stir and plate. Crumble the bacon over the top.

Good stuff.

Most often: Extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, minced shallot, salt & pepper, either honey or some type of mustard (honey mustard, sweet hot or dijon) as an emulsifier. Sometimes oregano, sometimes some minced capers.

I like a 1:1 oil to vinegar ratio, which is probably less oil and more vinegar than most people use. But it brings down the calorie density a good bit and I prefer the extra acidity.

Love these little Oxo dressing shakers.

Ranch is my favorite. I make my own Ranch dressing and it's better than the bottle stuff for my tastes.

I don't have measurements as I just eye ball it based on it's consistency and flavor, sorry.

Combine some mayonnaise, half and half or cream and milk, finely chopped parsley. I put a lot of parsley. I mean a metric ton compared to the other ingredients. It tends to disappear in there and has a mild flavor so it needs a lot.

I recently tasted store bought Ranch from a bottle and it tastes more oniony, so I guess you can use finely chopped green onion or chives for that flavor. I will try doing that next time I make it and see if it tastes better that way.

Dipping carrot sticks and raw broccoli in ranch dressing right now. Sooo good. Healthy too. Cruciferous veggies like broccoli, cauliflower and kale supposedly have anti cancer properties. I just like em cause they taste good.

We used to have this stuff called Green Goddess dressing when I was a kid. Hard to find now - I really liked it.

Caesar if it is, you know, a Caesar Salad. Other than that, I prefer a nice vinaigrette.

Blue Cheese on an iceberg wedge salad (with bacon and tomato, of course).
