Saitek Industries Eclipse Gaming Keyboard $19.99 (AR)

Great deal on this one. I might have to go pick one up. Although not hot, if you are interested in the Eclipse 2, Best Buy has it this week for 45 (no rebate).

I had this one. Don't expect to be able to see the characters on the keys in the dark. The backlighting does nothing but look good. You'd probably be better off with the newer one.

I got one of these from CompUSA on BF. It's a very nice board for $20 but I partially agree with the person about it being hard to see the keys at night. The real problem is the top rows with the 3rd row (qwerty etc.) being so so. It has to do with the viewing angle of the board as it sits. You CAN see everything but it takes a while to adjust to the appearance. And the light is able to dim or turn completely off. It also has a nice mute button for instant silence when the phone rings. The keys themselves have a solid feel to them. At this price I would buy another one if needed.

I use this keyboard and I am very happy with it. Quite keys, yet they still have a good tactile feel. For $20, you cannot go wrong. The newer version is at least $10-$20 more.

got this yesterday, gotta say it was a big improvement over the generic black keyboard i was using.

a big improvement  and at $20 ar this is a pretty good deal.

I heard this from others before I bought mine...I'm not sure what the problem could be. I have absolutely no problem seeing / typing on the keys in the dark, even in the dimmed down mode. Maybe they received defective units?

😕

got the 19.99 ar eclipse last year from compusa. never got my rebate from saitek.
they kept emailing me that i didnt send in the rebate form- tho my email addy was only written on the rebate form!

other than that- great hi quality k/b

I've had mine for over 2 years now...the reason I bought it was because my comp is in my study off my master bedroom...well, the wife likes to go to bed earlier than me and I was having a devil of a time playing my online games in the dark...This keyboard works great and I'm able to see all the characters. Not sure what the poster up a few had problems with...but mine is awesome. I give it 5 stars
