A guy where I work recently retired, and this is how he's spending his retirement.

It's LONG, but I think it's interesting hearing what it's actually like to sail across the ocean.

reading the logs is exciting me..

when i was a child i wanted to go sailing in teh open ocean... after all i grew up with the famous 5 and secret 7 and all..

Some day.. it will happen.

I would be pretty terrified of a bad ass storm happening right about in the middle of the ocean where you can't be saved

A friend my father works with has been building a sailboat for the last ten years and just finished a few months ago. He has never sailed before, but he?s leaving in a week and is going to spend the next 2 years sailing around the world with his wife.

Pretty cool if you ask me!
