Sagging sales spur rare U.S. incentives @ VW

DAMM!!!

They went from like 350,000!!! to like 50,000 NOW

Like most have said and from exp. from working on them, the inside looks great but they are always in the shop. I hate to have to own one AFTER the warrenty ran out. That and the price is to high for what you get NOW. They really need to update and go over their car line a lot better.

finally they start giving incentives, but still won;t get me to buy one, i go with toyota or honda cars

Dogg

That chart looks pretty similar to Oprah's weight.

Even with incentives I'd never buy a VW with the quality issues and such it has now. They're attractive cars no doubt, but there's some serious question marks that are raised that would keep me from buying one.

Course that doesn't cover all of 2004, but I Love this quote by some baffoon ?It?s like a poor man?s Porsche,? says Kim Zeile, owner of Rochester Hills-based Prefix Corp., a builder of automotive prototypes.

Over the years, he has owned 20 Volkswagens, and last month, he bought his son the new $29,950 R32 Golf hatchback.
HAHA

Just soak them in water and expose them to sunlight.
I think exposure to water is exactly what they do to each VW prior to leaving the factory!

That chart is visually misleading. I know there's an asterisk there, but they could have at least used an estimated number for 2004's total sales.

hahaha they have been charging too much money and failed to maintain reliability standards.

Yup. And the old-ass models don't help either

LOL.. you're right. What is even the point in making a graph like that if the data isnt uniform? 😕

The dealers dont help any..... The following are my experiences from the 2 VW's ive personally owned, keep in mind, this is ONLY over the past 5 years;

-Electrical System Failure (99 Jetta)
-Random Lights burning out constantly (99 Jetta)
-Broken Drivers Seat (99 Jetta)
-Broken Door Handle (99 Jetta)
-Broken Trunk Latch (99 Jetta)
-Dead A/C (99 Jetta)
-Transmission Problems (99 Jetta)
-Coil Pack Failures (02 Passat) - Happened 3 seperate times
-Buldging Airbags (02 Passat)
-Dealer got into an accident with my car while it was in the shop (02 Passat)
-Broken CV Boot (02 Passat)
-Broken CV Joint (02 Passat)
-Dead A/C (02 Passat) - Just had it fixed 2 weeks ago, broken again.

I know for a fact that there is more, but this is just off the top of my head. Its sad, I love driving my car but i can no longer stand the incompentency of the dealers and all these problems.

Im staying as far away from VW/Audi next time as i humanly can.

Well I thought buying a VW made in Germany would make a difference, unfortunately it didnt. I was also seeking to desperately get out of my Jetta and the only dealer to come close to what i owed was another VW dealer.
