SAGER notebooks

Does any recommend for or against buying one of these notebooks for home use?

Great notebooks! Solid design, attractive price, and a good company to deal with. I've sold several....

I recommend AGAINST buying a Sager. I recommended one to someone a long time ago (about 3 years ago) and it has been nothing but trouble. I'm currently trying to convince him to buy something to replace it because I'm sick of trying to fix all the problems that keep cropping up. IMO the only laptops worse than Sager's are Compaq's.

Due to the fact (1) unit has problems you are boycotting Sager? I guess we should all refrain from buying a Dell, Compaq, Gateway, Sony since I've serviced a few problematic units over the years.

we have a sager notebook here at work. i've used it a few times. running win 2000 pro--it's pretty solid.

I have one of the new models with the 16.1" screen, 128MB Radeon 9000, 2.66Ghz P4, etc. and it's awesome. Literally a desktop replacement...it's not very "travel" friendly.
