Hi,
Just got my A64 3200+ newcastle and I'm in the process of overclocking it. I'm wondering what's the safe voltage range of these on aircooling? The default is 1.5V but my Chaintech VNF3-250 seems to be overvolting it to ~1.52V according to MBM5. I'm assuming I should be relatively safe till about 1.65V?

It depends on the air colling you are using but I have seen little gain going over 1.6v.

1.65 is fine.. just watch your temperatures...

btw, try to consolidate your posts/questions :)

I get better results at 1.55 than at 1.65 for some reason. I've run it on 1.65 for a week; simply saw a slight temperature increase. I assumed that I need to increase the voltage in order to post with my new settings, but no luck. Got great results at stock though.

I'm on a Coolermaster Hyper6, so that should be fine.

Weirdly, flashing the BIOS of my Chaintech VNF3-250 to a later version almost doubled my CPU temps. It was idling at 30+C before, now it's at 60+C.
