I'm running my 3700+ SD at 1.65vcore in order to sustain a stable 2750mhz. Is it okay to run it this high? I have an xp-120 heatsink and a monster 120mm fan on my cpu. I've seen many people run their winnys at 1.7vcore and higher. What do you guys think?
 
If your afraid that your chip might die, then do something like 1.5 vcore.

Personally, I think 1.65 is too high.
 
ok well any lower and it craps out on me and I can barely get 2.6. everyone else who has the chip gets 2.8 easy. I'm pretty sure it's my motherboard because I know it sucks. I want a new one but for now it'll have to wait. ugh.

by the way it's a 90nm chip and my temps are 35idle/40load
 
the motherboard is the best damn motherboard ive ever had. i have a winnie 3200 that reached almost 2900mhz (not stable) you should be using the 1014 bios. 1013 is a joke. it is so screwed up. 1.65 is a bit too much though.
 
yeah, thats what i thought, but after experimenting with the 1014, i found that its actually pretty good.

I won't be happy with 2.6. Everyone else who has this chip gets like 2.8. I can post all the way up to the boards max of 300htt with the multi at 6 and with the multi at 11 I can get up to about 2.85-2.9 however when I run prime95, I fail the first test. That's what makes me think it's a motherboard/memory issue. My memory is rated to run at 250mhz (ddr500) yet if it runs anywhere past about 230 I fail prime. I have it running at 225 now with my cpu @ 270x10 and my vcore at 1.55. I flashed to 1014 but got worse results so I'm back on 1009. I have passed the first two prime tests with no errors so that's good news. The problem I had last night on a different configuration was that prime ran for six hours until it had an error and quit. Why would it have errors that far into the test and none before? It's not like I'm overheating. My cpu runs 35 or so idle and about 40 load. 😕
 
dude, not everyone gets 2800. i had mine at 2750 because any higher needed more volts than what i was willing to feed it, 1.54v

there are plenty of people who cant get 2700.

its up to you on the volts, its your chip 🙂
