Safe To OC?

Alrighty guys I got a T-Bird 900mhz w/ an ASUS A7V cooled by an Alpha Heatsink according to my BIOS my CPU is @ 49 degrees celsius while my mobo is at 39 degrees celsius? Am I safe to OC this baby to 1ghz or perhaps even 1.1ghz? BTW my RAM Is Crucial 256mb CAS 2 PC133...

Yes.

Make sure you have some decent case cooling as well. That'll help a lot!

you got any heatsink compound on that cpu?
If you just got a pad or something, scrape it off and get some heatsink compound from radio schack.

If he got an alpha, it came with HS compound, at least mine did.

If you want to get serious, get a Copper Spacer and some Arctic Silver.
