safe idle temps?

I have an Intel system which usually hovers in the 78-83 F temperature range, inside the case. The room gets hot so if I don't keep the AC on while I'm at work it idles as high as 90+ F inside the case. Will this decrease the life of the hardware? Should I leave it on standy / hibernate?

Thanks friends,
Ben

That's actually not bad. 90F is equivalent to 32C. That's not bad at all. You shouldn't be worried.

EDIT: Original reply had me saying something was going to fry. LOL, I thought you said it was 90C inside the case.

My two 939 rigs
Ambient 21C/28C
Working CPU 32C/38C
26C/33C mobo
38C/45C CPU @ load

At present, my video rig is 25C/77F ambient, 34C/93F working CPU, mobo 32C/89F, 43C/109F load.

People are too obsessed with idle temperatures. Load temperatures matter, if they're alright, idle is alright too.
