Sadly, Winter is coming

Red Squirrel

No Lifer
Seems summer went by so fast, but it always does. Noticed a bunch of leaves on the ground today outside of work. The weather has been declining too. Though I'm sure we still have some hot days ahead of us.

So with that said, there are 136 days until Christmas!

It was 106 out today. That said, I'm looking forward to the cooler weather, easier on the wallet and it brings marathon season. 🙂 Depression avoided for another year.

WTF do you mean sadly? Yeah, winter is coming. That means SNOW! Awesome!

Of course, there is still snow up in the high country right now anyway.

Good! Bring on winter. The smell of the furnace the first time in the fall, NHL starts, no more yard maintenance, not feeling guilty staying home 4 nights a week cuz its too cold out. Can't wait!

It can't be getting close to winter, one of my dogs is still shedding his winter undercoat from last year.

WTF I haven't seen a day less than 100F in almost 2 months.

This! I can't wait for winter to come. I don't think it's been below 80F once (as a low) and it's been over 100f for 42 straight days now. So yea I'll take winter now thank you.

Unless you have to drive in it. Or shovel it. Or work outside. 😛

Winter in Phoenix means you wear long pants, possibly a light jacket. 🙂 Love it. But my blood's thinned out so much, anything under 75F seems chilly.

Are you kidding? Driving in snow is a blast!

sipping iced tea on the porch wearing shorts and a tshirt for christmas is one of my fave traditions here in phoenix.

No, heat trumps cold any day. Summer is my favorite time of the year. We use the boat, go do family stuff because the kids are out of school, go boating, watch movies, go boating, etc.

Fall is so depressing. You spend more time indoors, its cold, lots of leaves to pick up, etc. The only good thing about fall is football season.

Not in Virginia.
102 today and wont be cooling any time soon. Sept is usually a little better. Typically October shows us a nice long indian summer.

Light jacket + long pants + 75 degrees = does not compute

I wear shorts and t-shirts year round and shovel snow in flip flops all the time. When we visit friends in CA we laugh at them for wearing big ol' snow parkas when it's 65 degrees out.

Hell 75 degrees is still air conditioner weather.

Driving in snow is so much fun. Especially if the plows haven't been out yet.

And for winter clothing, I stay in short sleeves until it gets well below freezing.

The roads in NE, more to the point the Greater Boston area, suck as it is, add snow and the potholes and it's shit, utter shit. Include the ignorant Masshole drivers and you have fucking hell.

You're nuts. 😛

Then again, I run in 110F heat. Craziness on the opposite side.
