Sadly it looks like Jean Schmidt kept her seat.

Jean Schmidt has apparently squeeked by with a 2,800 vote victory in the Ohio 1st congressional district. Of all the things that happened on election day this one takes the cake. Jean Scmidt is perhaps the worst excuse for a Congressperson we have had in this country in 50 years. And I am including the corrupt ones who have gone to jail.
She's the one who insulted our troops by calling a war hero a coward.
I guess there are parts of Ohio that just plain hate America.

Oh look at it on the bright side---Jean now has 2 years to show her district what a total hypocrite she is.
If she is smart---she will just lay low and shut up.

If not---she will likely just shine a spot light on how idiotic she is. Nor can she confuse a razor thin win with a mandate---especially since the national mandate went the other way. With any luck she will get a committee asignment to serve under Mutha.

Funny how that county had some serious voting irregularities in 2004. She only won 51% to 49% out of about 220k votes. I would still like to see some kind of congressional voter fraud oversight in the next two years for the national level.

I find it hard to believe that even Jean Schmidt could be as ignorant as Marsh Blackburn
This fool and her mindless supporters are so far out of touch with the reality of the county that they are still spewing GOP Talking Points from 4 years ago,
and making claims that were conclusively proved false just 2 years back.
On Hardball she refused to answer any questions, and insisted that even today Saddam
was still working to develop WMD
and was nearly ready to launch nuclear attacks on the country with guided airplanes.
She was insistant that Mexicans were poised just over the Tennesse boarder waiting to rush in and file for welfare.

Who are these people who listen to her and believe what she says? Are the residents of Tennesse really that backwards and uninformed?
It that entire stare filled with Clampets, Hatfields, and McCoys? Maybe so - Bill Frist was a Senator there.

Come on Cap., you can't judge the people of any state by the scum/douche bags that they send to D.C. Most of us get the choice of dumb and dumber or scum and scummier 😉 And don't forget that Tennessee is the stompin' grounds of great American legends like Davey Crockett and Alvin C. York either.

I've MTB'd there a number of times, and have always found the people friendly and of a good disposition in general. I only spent a day in any of their more populous cities though, Chattanooga. They have beautiful country, killer singletrack, and some fun rivers, not too mention some hawt women folk, so cut the people a break brudda :sun:

OK you got it - Marsha Blackburn
Representing the Nashville to Memphis 7th District, she embraces the eletist GOP Pro-Clan agenda
which is to place the good of the wealty and rich supporters over those who make less than $ 500,000 a year,
and contribute heavily to keeping all minorities firmly in their place under the thumbs of the Southern Aristocracts.

She is a fool, expousing the Southern Strategy that the GOP embraced, and is going to be the death of the GOP as it used to be.

The New ! Improved ! GOP ! - Now with 99% more Southern Redneck Policies

It's the Stupidity, Stupid.

The GOP has, in fact, become the Old Democrats from the Civil Rights obstructionist days.
It's a Southern State Party - catering to the fears and beliefs of the Southern Rednecks, Religious Fruitcakes, and Klansman mentality.

Which is why the shakeout continues. The Northern and Western states are turning Blue. When that happens we can let the 6 or 7 Red states have the Republican party.

well this is what the house is for, interesting personalities. Sure they might be complete assholes, and she's not known as mean jean for nothing. She probably represents her district, or about half her district well enough.
