What do you find to be the saddest song?

I used to think it was CATS IN THE CRADLE... but now i'm 100% positive it's Last Kiss, by Pearl Jam.. it chokes me up every time.

Jack and Diane.

"Hold on to 16 as long as you can... changes come along real quick; make us women and men."

That line depresses the hell out of me. Gosh, I miss 16!

I agree with Cat's in the Cradle...although Dan Fogelberg's Same Auld Lang Syne gets to me if it's cold and snowy outside.

I'm only 21 and I miss it already, too :(

Can't say I don't enjoy 21, though

I dunno about saddest, but I think Dust in the Wind by Kansas is a great song, and can bring a tear to my eye when I listen to it (it reminds me of my grandfather).

If you think it's Cats In The Cradle, then you haven't delved deeply enough into Harry Chapin's library of music, and I strongly encourage you to do so.

Pearl Jam's cover of Last Kiss is quite possibly the worst cover I have EVER heard.

I actually agree with Cats in the Cradle. I think it's sad, because it's so true for so many people.

In English is Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton, however it is pail when compare to hundreds of Vietnamese sad songs.

I'm sure the number of them increased in the years 1964 on. :(

Yeah, that is why I said "cover I have ever heard", not of all time. I am sure there are some that are worse, but it is the most popular one I can think of right now, that blows on so many levels.

I can't see why people like it. Listen to the original by J. Frank Wilson & The Cavaliers.
