"An interesting story comes out of Kuwait this week: The Reuters News Service says the U.S. confirms Iraqi President Saddam Hussein is suffering from cancer. The story - published in a Kuwaiti weekly - says Washington officials have known about Hussein's illness for three years. American intelligence apparently obtained confirmation on this in February of this year. The U.S. strategy now seems to be waiting out Hussein's illness, as an alternative policy to dealing with Iraq.

Some reports say Hussein has been diagnosed with lymphatic cancer, but Iraqi officials have denied that. However, an entourage of doctors has been flying into Baghdad through Amman, Jordan, presumably to treat Hussein".

Its hard to say. If he dies without being exposed to the people of Iraq, he might get viewed as a fallen hero, and his replacement could be as bad or worse.

yeah, if he dies of natural causes, he will die a hero. and probably be worshiped for a long time. then his son, who is even more harsh than him, will take over and cause more problems. heh.

Time for the CIA to get in gear and find a suitable replacement for "So Damn Insane". If they don't... well then I agree with BOBBY.

<...WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO! Hurray!...>

Love the sinner, hate the sin?????

As for Saddam, it's nice to see Mother Nature isn't convinced of his supreme worth to humanity.

Huey,

Suitable to the CIA might not be what a normal person would consider suitable. They always have some sort of hidden agenda.

Hmmm... I wonder if Carnivore has intercepted this yet.

UG,

Somehow I find I have little sympathy for a leader who used chemical weapons (nerve gas wasn't it?) on his own people.

Me neither. I was merely pointing out some philosophical inconsistencies amongst our membership.

A cancer on humanity finally gets his...cancer.

There is some justice in this world

Personally, they should have sent in snipers to give him a forehead enema. :|
