Everyone should be entitled to an attorney. What sort of judicial system was established by the Iraqi Constitution? Similar to that of the U.S., I'm guessing?

Exactly, btw that just proves a good faith in capitalism: what would give more publicity then defending Saddam

I am curious how this is going to work. Who is going to judge him and who is going to be the prosecution. I asked in an earlier thread, what is the legal basis for the US to hold him.*

*I got accused of being a Bush hater and anti-American.

I thought old Ramsey "all tyrants are lovely people" Clark was chomping at the bit to defend Saddam in a courtroom? Oh well, win a few, lose a few.

So what? I'm sure you could find plenty of American lawyers who would defend him also. Maybe Johnny "if the glove don't fit, you must acquit" Cochrane was busy.

Good point. It would seem that America has a slightly higher percentage than France.

I've been to France about a 15 times and have probably spent about 6 months there over the last 10 -12 years.

How much time have you spent there?

All that time you were spending in France, I was spending in America, so while you saw French sleezeballs, I saw American sleezeballs. And I saw more sleezeballs than you.

That's right, look to someone who's never been to France and probably doesn't even know a French person as an expert.

That you've been to France has zero bearing on this thread. It is in fact a moot point.
