I'm not convinced that was live or him. Something about him didn't look quite right. Plus the fact that tonight's strike wasn't mentioned seem odd to me. Seems that he would want to run it in our faces if he survived the attack.

Exactly, if you are trying to rally the masses you think he would have at least acknowledge that the "infedels" have begun their "agressive occupation" of "our great country, Iraq". This was definitely taped.
Don't forget "God is great! Long live Jihad! Long Live Palestine!"

Yeah...like sending your ass somehwere far far away. Maybe to the moon....at least then we wouldn't have to put up with your asshat statements.

50 million would be enough to afford you a one way ticket too Shinerburke.

It may have been taped, but I think it was wishful thinking to think we got him. He survived 8yrs of war with Iran. They are a very war-like people, and he is a survivalist

My only point is that people like you on this board have to make attacks on others who rightfully, and DEMOCRATICALLY (if you know what that means) makes statements like that.

A LOT of us are not for this war, at this time. Doesn't mean we are unpatriotic, or whatever like so many of your kind claims.

dead or alive. that 50 million was well spent. no doubt..iraqs been crippled pretty heavily as a result of this "light" strike

I might care about Palestine if those Palestinians actually WERE Palestinians instead of outcasts and rejects from the surrounding countries, being used by the Arab world as a tool to help eliminate Israel.

There is a difference between being morally opposed to a war and going to a public place and making inflamatory statements like he has in this thread and others. He may not be openly support Hussein, but he's coming damn close to pulling a Jane Fonda with his remarks. Now is not the time to be making statements like his. Sure, be opposed for whatever reason, but don't spit in the face of those who are fighting for you.

Exactly. This isn't even getting warmed up. Let's just see if he's crazy enough to use chemical/bio weapons.

Saddam: we've now got all day to watch you with our satellites.

Heh..newsresporter on CNN saying it couldn't be prerecorder because he mentioned the date. He could have just prerecorded several dates.

Seems prerecorded - no mention of bombings. He looks different from pictures too. Probably a double - missing a dimple on his chin.
LOL

That reminds me of the Tom Brokaw SNL skit.

well, i can't recall his other comments but yesterday i was called an unpatriotic grab assistic or something by Millenium. Needless to say, the unpatriotic bit put me in a bad mood for the night because I don't know why people think they have the right to call me that because I am expressing what is my right. I don't think [hope] Blug is spittin in the face of those fighting for us, because from my discussions with others on this board, most of us do not think that at all [although Bluga may be different i don't know]. Many of us have great respect for them, because they are just following orders. I still have my doubts with the leaders of this country - i wonder how many of their children are serving, so when I personally make comments against this war, it is against Bush and his policies, not against our military.

Wow, patriost are jumping all over this board.

I am patriotic, but I am also a realist, and I am 100% aware of the bullsh!t that we will be fed over this entire conflict from both sides

THAT WAS NOT SADDAM!!!!

Look at the pictures and the video from that broadcast. That guy is clearly different than the one that has been shown the past couple of days on TV. When I first saw him on TV I could not tell who he was I thought he was some commander of Saddam, I had to look at the caption to tell who the heck he was. His look and mannerisms are clearly different, the guy looks older, greyer, and fatter. Must be a double. Someone earlier in this post mentioned this also. I thought I might be the only one, but apparently not so.

By now you should realize and take those remarks coming from people hidden by the anonymity of the internet for nothing more than a grain of salt. Save a lot of headache 🙂

well, in all fairness, they show footage over and over again that is years old. The footage they show of saddam shooting a gun is like in the 1980's
