I know hardware is just hardware but if you place the right software on it then the hardware has potential.

They might try programming something for it. I am not sure of it myself. Perhaps their plan would fail and they would have 4k of these units lying in pieces.

I have read somewhere in a magazine article that the PS2 has a chip that contains the same material that is used in some nuclear weapons. And that is why durng the initial launch of the PS2, the Japanese government halted part of the PS2 exports permits. Which makes sense that how much those PS2 were priced for on eb@ay and elsewhere.

Damn! I just saw this tonight on nbc's national news. I think the story was called PS2...NBC says look for it in a warhead near you! The nbc brief also said the PS2 was 100x faster than current PC's! Yeah, ok...PS2 vs. PS/2...sounds right to me.
