Well if it counts:

Perl Jam - Last Kiss

No, it doesn't count, since the topic is not "Songs that should never have been recorded or released"

Not a fan of that song.

Pearl Jam - Black
Clapton - Tears in Heaven
TOTD - Say Hello to Heaven

River of Deceit - Mad Season
Down in a Hole - AiC

Layne - Staind

Yes, there is a pattern here....

Heroin is a hell of a drug.

Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore - Walker Brothers
Melissa - Allman Brothers
Ballad of Easy Rider - Byrds

"Pink and Velvet" - Berlin (Dave Gilmour on guitar)

Really sad yet cool song. About A woman lover who ODed on heroin. Gilmour has 2 great solos in it.

Lou Reed, anything from Berlin, but especially the Kids and Caroline Says.

From the Rolling Stone review:
Lou Reed's Berlin is a disaster, taking the listener into a distorted and degenerate demimonde of paranoia, schizophrenia, degradation, pill-induced violence and suicide.

edit: italicized "Berlin" in RS quote.

Don't Bother - AIC

Don't Follow?

Doh. It's been a bad day. Forgot my wallet (and access card to work). Forgot my cell phone. Hell I even drove right past my daughters daycare and kept going to work until I remembered it a block down the road.

I knew that didn't look right when I typed it.

😱

Actually, if you listen to the whole song, it turns to happy in the last verse. It's a good "get me out of being sad" song for that reason 😉

Another moody favorite of mine from them is Nutshell. Amazing song.
