Sabertooth 990fx ram question

Hey all
Is there any reason http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820233299 wouldn't be spiffy for a Sabertooth 990fx? I currently have the 8gb (2x4gb) version, same timings&speed.
I know there probably isn't much reason to go from 8 to 16gb... But still 🙂

I'm only asking because I can't find official support for it on their memory support list. 🙄

I'm running 16G Ripjaws z on that motherboard. It's not "supported" & even advertised as Intel ram. As far as I'm concerned ram is ram, all the marketting stuff is a steaming pile of smelly codpieces.

Should be fine, but you might need to set the timings manually.

Cool, good to know. With my current ram all I had to do in bios was set it to 1600mhz. Didn't have to tweak any other timings or voltage. My 8gb version is running just fine at 9-9-9-24 by default. Hoping this 16gb set will be the same.

NO worries it will be compatible. Also I recommend you go to 16GB since its soo cheap now. with 1333 speed or 1600Mhz speed...gl
