Hi everyone.

I'm getting a P4 530 and want a good MB to go with it.

The only problem is that I can't find many good user reviews on boards that are good overclockers.

I have been looking at the Gigabyte 8I915P Duo Pro and the Abit AG8 3rd EYE.

Can anyone lead me to some reviews of these boards or similar ones or if anyone owns one can you post your experience.
I'm after a board which I can overclock the chip I mentioned to about 3.6GHz at least. It must also have fairly good features

Thanks.

There is no guarantee for overclocking results under any circumstances.

I suggest the Abit AA8XE or ASUS PA5D2-E that are coming out. You missed the deal on the AA8-Duramax going on at the egg last week. It was selling for only $107.

If you're looking for a cheaper solution, the AA8 is the best choice. Another good overclocking motherboard is the DFI 925X-T2 @ $200.

EDIT: I would not recommend the motherboards you listed above. They have very mediocre overclocking results.

i was looking at the gigabyte, also.

if you want ddr (4) and ddr2 (2) go with the asus p5gdc 159 at zipzoomfly. beat the gigabyte in overclocking.

I recently purchased a 550 chip with AA8-Duramax and 2x256mb of Kingston PC2-5400 (4-4-4-10).
I will be watercooling it with a whitewater block. I'll get back to you on my results. My goal is 250fsb.

I was told the CPU I was getting direct from intel is an E0 core so I am excited.
