So....I need a s754 mobo, with OC-ability, 4DDR Slots and 8x AGP.....any suggestions? I'm doing an upgrade for my nephew for Christmas (from a 1.5GHz Williamette P4, MSI 9250) up to a 6600GT and overclocked s754 sempy rig. I'll be using 4x256MB DDR sticks so it's imperative to have 4 slots available. Any suggestions? Anyone looking to get rid of one? NewEgg isn't being very helpful since this is so old hat.

do you already have a s754 chip I take it? if so I would prolly look on the FS/FT to see what you can find, otherwise I wouldn't bother with that platform

Socket-754 does not support more than 3 DIMM sockets. Your wish shall not be granted.

Next!

DRATS Peter! I was hoping there was one out there, but that explains a lot.

Yeah Fallout I already have the chip in hand, and it ran on stock Vcore up to 2.4 (from 1.6). My nephew is all about UT2k4 so he's doing -okay- now since it's an older game, but I'd like to bump things up to high on 12x10 res's's's's.

Blah. Oh well, he can have my retired A64 3200.

if you can live with only 3 DDR slots, the Gigabyte GA-K8NS PRO is a very solid board.

I used one with a A64 3000+ (E6 Venice) and was able to take it from 2.0ghz right up to 2.87ghz (287mhz x 10, 1.5v, watercooled) with out any issues.

I still have that setup in my file server and it runs 24/7.

could prolly sell the chip + ram+vc for little over 100, then could get a lowend am2 setup with VC for about 150-180
