S3 Virge (4mb -- AGP) VS. ATI Mach64 (2MB -- PCI) === Wich on is more linux friendly?

Hey guys...

Which one is more compatible to most distributions?

I am pretty sure the ATI will work under most distributions since most of them work with most ATI cards.

How about the S3 Virge?

btw, i'll be buying one of these 2 cards for a linux box, so im uncertain which one to choose...

Well, those are a couple of oldies but I remember that there were problems with S3 Virge and I remember reading that at least onre of the most known distributions stated up front that the S3 Virge was not supported and another one had warningd about the use of S3 Virge.

Not sure about AGP, but my PCI Virge VX didn't have problems. Redhat 6.1 even auto-detected the card.
