Why did S3 had that bad reputation? Have they been always a low-end graphic card/chip manufacturer? What were the products responsible for this kind of reputation? Where they products that bad?
 
S3 is not out, you can find them more in the mobile than desktop market.

The product I think was the 2000. Not bad but didn't live up to expectation and of course support.
