S2000 + LS2 = zomg

That forum is a joke, I love the comments.

Honda-Tech had articles that were invaluable to me when I was doing an engine swap on a Honda I used to own. It's great for information if you know where to look.

Beautiful swap, even if it seems a little odd. It would be a lot of work, but I'd think a really tuned SR20DET would make more sense in that car, which I've seen ~500hp versions of. Still really really sweet though, the LS motors are gold.

According to the guy that built it, it only gained 130lbs... Looks like most of that weight is behind the shock towers, so the handling shouldn't be THAT compromised.

I like this better.

That cam is just a tad aggressive, lol

I don't mean to hijack the thread but this is even better!

That didn't look particularly well though out, though I'll give it points for perhaps the most unique noise for a road-going car.

Hijack of Hijack : THIS is the kind of SR20DET project I'm talkin about, which I think makes sense in something like a classic Z car or an S2K.

What's the point? That thing would spin all day long the second you open the throttle in a turn...

Well, reading about Lingenfelter Vettes and Hennesey Vipers of the 1k+ RWHP category, they too have obscene difficulty with wheelspin.

I think that kind of power/weight ratio can only really be approximately harnessed with giant racing slicks and a very good dragstrip, and even then wheelspin is an issue.

I agree, it sounds like shit. The sounds that car should make should sound more like a Formula One car...not a fucking neckcar.

The stock F20c in the s2000 is an already excellent FI platform. InlinePro have done some amazing things.

Yep, I have the same opinion about 1000HP in anything that turns.

What is it with people using nitrous in their already pretty powerful engines? Do these tools realize the beauty of sports cars such as the S2K is that they don't need a 6.2L V8 to make them go fast? 😕

hahahah that is hilarious

I love my F22C, but I can't deny that even having a "regular" LSx (how about the LS7?) in the S2K would fucking rock. It would be a great sleeper, too. 10% less weight than a Vette. But you'd need to swap the transmission and diff, too, and without that glorious transmission, the S2000 loses some of its charm.
